The Harp and Soul online course, recorded by Marcos, has already reached over 3,500 students in English and Spanish. In 2024, we’re excited to introduce a Chinese version (with English explanations and Chinese subtitles), making it accessible to even more learners.

Marcos offers clear and engaging lessons, breaking down practical harmonica techniques and using classic songs to help you apply what you’ve learned. The course is structured to be concise, allowing you to progress at your own pace while mastering each technique.

Alongside the diatonic harmonica course, we’ve brought in Yora Chen, major in music theory and composition graduated from NTNU, to help students tackle music theory challenges and break through learning barriers.
To make the transition easier for those experienced with chromatic or tremolo harmonicas, Marcos has partnered with DMing to provide additional video content.

About the Instructors:
Marcos Coll – Blues Harmonica Master
Marcos Coll is widely regarded as one of the top harmonica artists of today.
His electrifying performances have made him a standout in the global harmonica community, most recently wowing audiences at the 2024 Taiwan Harmonica Music Festival. His stage presence and musicianship have earned him a reputation as one of the top figures in the blues harmonica scene.

Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1976, Marcos started playing harmonica at 13, influenced by his musician uncle and by Spanish blues harp legend Ñaco Goñi, quickly finding his place in Spain’s blues scene. By the age of 21, he was performing with rock and blues legends like Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones and Buddy Miles of Jimmy Hendrix Band of Gypsys and even did a blues gig with Tom Jones. Marcos went on to form Los Reyes del KO, one of the most influential blues bands in Europe, solidifying his place as a key figure in the European blues movement.

In 2004, Marcos relocated to Berlin, where he became a vital part of the city's blues scene. Over the years, he has toured internationally, teaching harmonica masterclasses and recording with a wide array of artists. As a Hohner endorser, Marcos continues to inspire musicians worldwide. Besides performing as Marcos Coll Blues Jarana, he also works often with the legendary bluesman Guitar Crusher, as well as with his Mexican Latino music band Los Mighty Calacas, which has toured all over the world and has released a CD featuring such top guest musicians like Charlie Musselwhite.
He’s worked with top artists like Stefano Ronchi and Will Jacobs, and his latest album, Nomad (2022), explores his diverse musical influences, blending blues, funk, and Latin rhythms.

Yora Chen
Yora Chen, graduated from National Taiwan Normal University’s Music Department, major in music theory, composition, and piano performance as a current master’s student. She is an experienced piano accompanist, composer, and arranger.In addition to performing and creating music, she teaches harmonica ensembles, piano and music theory. As the instructor for Dong Guang Junior High School and National Taiwan University’s harmonica clubs, she is dedicated to advancing music education and her professional skills.

DMing
DMing is a harmonica teacher, repair specialist, and the chromatic harmonica player for the Sirius Harmonica Ensemble. He is also a harmonica maker at Laelaps. Since 2011, he has been actively performing, leading workshops, and judging competitions across Europe and Asia. In 2013, he became the youngest judge at the WHF World Harmonica Festival. That same year, he started his career in harmonica education, proficient in various types of harmonica and teaching methods, leading his students to multiple championships.
